Are clip-in hair extensions worth it?

I'm thinking of buying 18 inch clip-in hair extensions (100% human hair). Does anyone own them and are they worth $150? How long do they last? Are they comfortable?

I have thick, brown straight hair a bit past my shoulders

yes my friend has them i live in th uk and she got really good ones for $20, but it depends where you get them from but i wouldn't spend $150 on them you can get real extentions for that price.

I haven't gotten any experience with any, but I would say they're not worth it. I can think of a lot of better things to spend 150 dollars on, rather than fake hair thats going to be removed eventually anyway.

well it depends if you want to wear them all the time, or only occasionally.

personally if you are thinking of wearing them all the time i would buy the glue-in extensions which are about $50, without the glue (glue cost is about $5-10) and they should last you about 2-3 weeks, but you should re-glue them once every 1-2 weeks

if you only want longer hair for a special occasion, or just a day or so then i would get the clipins

Nope. Most just fall out or break within a few weeks. Some are heavy and droop so that you can see that they're extensions, which kinda beats the purpose. :P

But if you really want em, then go for it. Imho, I think you should just grow out your hair. It's cheaper, natural, and doesn't fall off when you move. :]

They are cheeper than tied or crimped in and are easier to remove or re adjust. If you are getting them for the lenght they should be fine but if you want to thicken your hair you should go with a more professional choice. Make sure that your stylist has done several extensions before and that customers were happy.

yeah my friends and my sister have them and they loook really great on them you have to try and its worth it they last for a long time if you take good care of them and they say its comfortable once you get used to them

In My opinion ( mainly because I can tell ) it's a really bad idea for someone who can naturally grow their hair to get extensions or "clip-ins". I cant say I haven't seen a pretty girl with extensions, but once I see her without them, it's not pretty. If you think you need them, it's ultimately up to you, but I don't recommend you use them.

Definitely not worth the time or money. Using them pulls several strands of hair out of the root upon adjusting and removal. They also don't really stay put and look fake underneath real hair. Don't waste your money.
