I need opinions on my story. The title is "One Unicorn hair."?

鈥淒o we have to move?!?鈥?Laura sat on the top of the dresser as her dad packed his suitcase.

Laura鈥檚 Dad sighed, 鈥淗oney, we went through this already. Your Mom got a great new job and anyway , we already bought the house.鈥?br> 鈥淏ut why?鈥?she asked sniffling, 鈥淚鈥檓 going to 5th grade. 5th . You know I鈥檝e been looking forward to the 5th grade field trip since forever.鈥?br> 鈥淒on鈥檛 worry about it,鈥?Her dad said worrying about her, 鈥淚鈥檓 sure there is an overnight field trip in your new school.鈥?br> 鈥淏ut it won鈥檛 be the same. Michelle and Candice won鈥檛 be there. None of my friends will be there.鈥?br> Her Dad rubbed her hair, 鈥淥f course your friends will be there. You just need to make new friends.鈥?br> Laura knew he was wrong. She knew nobody makes good friends after the first month of school. She knew she was doomed to be an outcast but she also knew her Dad didn鈥檛 know that and all his knowledge of childhood was from the stone age.

鈥淥k, I know you鈥檙e right.鈥?she sighed agreeing with her Dad just so she could leave.鈥?br> 鈥淭hat鈥檚 my girl,鈥?He said reaching out his arms, 鈥淣ow give your Dad a hug.鈥?br> Laura wiped her nose with her sleeve and hugged her dad, still worried about the move ahead.

Laura got out of the car and stretched her legs. The drive to the new house took forever. Her little brother ,Nate, was impossible as usual , and did her Mom do anything?

鈥淵ou鈥檙e the older one,鈥?she had said, 鈥淏e the peacemaker.鈥?br> Nate took that as a license to be bad of course.

Laura snapped back to the present. Nate had already ran into the house and picked the biggest room on the top floor with the balcony and the bathroom.

鈥淢om!鈥?she pulled her Mom into the kitchen so she could talk to her in private 鈥淭hat was supposed to be my room!鈥?she whined.

鈥淚 know honey but-鈥?br> Laura snapped 鈥淚t鈥檚 not fair!!!!! I hate this!!!! Nate gets everything just because 鈥業鈥檓 Older鈥? Well you know what!!!!!! I鈥檓 sick of being older and by the way I鈥檓 12. Stop calling me honey!!!!!! Now excuse me,鈥?she said starting to walk up the stairs, 鈥淚鈥檓 going to scream into a pillow.鈥?she stopped, 鈥淥r does Nate get first pick of those too鈥?br> Laura stormed up the stairs, grabbing a pillow from a box as the passed, her head swimming in rage. So angry she didn鈥檛 notice a tear slowly sliding down her Mom鈥檚 cheek.

Laura passed his brother鈥檚 room where he was jumping on his bed ,her bed, that was put in the day before.

Nate stuck his tongue out at Laura. She shut his bedroom door and kept walking.

She swung the last door in the hall, that was supposed to be Nate鈥檚 room ,open.

Of course it was empty. Her Dad had said he would be sure to have her bet put in first. The one tome something good was happening for her it all came crashing down.

She looked around the room. White walls, wood floors, no windows, very bland.

Laura screamed into the pillow. Scream isn鈥檛 even the word. Even her own ears were ringing.

With strength she didn鈥檛 even knew she had, Laura hurled the pillow at the wall. The wall creaked. Laura knocked the wall. Hollow. She ran her finger against the wall. She felt a bump on the bottom of the wall an dug her fingernail into the crack. An opening just big enough for her to squeeze through. She looked out her open door. Everyone was to busy to miss her for a few minutes.

She wiggled through the hole about halfway through she heard the door creak shut.

She sighed and mentally shook her head ,because it was impossible to do it for real in the tight space.

Of course it would have to close.

She kept moving. There was nothing else she could do. There wasn鈥檛 enough room to turn around and she doubted it would open from the inside anyway.

She padded through the tunnel then suddenly she dropped.

She screamed, just out of habit, but for some strange reason she didn鈥檛 feel scared. She could tell she was falling but she just felt like she was floating. She just closed her eyes and enjoyed the moments.

Then she was on the ground.

Her eyes fluttered open.

The room was beautiful.

The walls were painted with scenes. The last unicorn, The First Phoenix, and other things she didn鈥檛 recognize. For some reason she gravitated to the center of the room.

In the only dark part of the whole room there was podium. With a medallion. There were some words carved on it and a whitish hair attached to it.

She read them out loud.

鈥淲ith this unicorn hair, Pure and White, I will take a trip, into the land of light.鈥?br> On any other day she probably would have made comment about the corny fairy tale poetry but today was different.

For a few moments she felt nothing then wind, hurricane force winds. She shielded her eyes with her hands and struggled to keep her footing and then nothing. Dead wind.

She slowly opened her eyes. They were flooded with light. She covered her moth with her hands.

Lush grass, rolling hills, and the animals.

Laura blinked hardly comprehending what she was experiencing. Then she heard footsteps and felt someone or something watching her.

She turned around.

It was a horse. But It couldn鈥檛 be a horse wouldn鈥檛 have a long twisting horn. That would have to be 鈥?br> 鈥淎 unicorn.鈥?Laura breathed.

The unicorn nuzzled her then touched it鈥檚 horn to her shoulder. It glowed.

Laura buried her face in its mane and wished she could stay there forever.

But then, she remembered her Mom. She needed to apologize.

She looked back at the medallion. The words had changed. It now said: With this human hair fiery red I will return to my human bed.

Laura scratched her head.

How did it know her hair color. She shrugged and said the poem.

She shielded her eyes-again. It was unnecessary. Nothing happened.

Then she remembered. She still needed a hair.

She plucked a hair from her head and placed it on the medallion. It bonded to the metal and stuck.

She said the poem again. This time it worked. Her stomach flip flopped then she was in her room, on her bed, Her bed.

鈥淗ow did my bed get in here?鈥?she thought.

She looked at her watch.

1:20pm

She bit her lip. Everyone must be looking for her!

She ran downstairs.

Her mom was sitting on a chair, staring at the door.

鈥淢om?鈥?she asked confused.

Laura鈥檚 Mom turned around sharply.

鈥淥h hon鈥︹€?she stopped quickly and bit her lip.

鈥淢om. It鈥檚 ok. Where is Dad and Nate, and how did my bed get in my room?鈥?br> 鈥淥k,鈥?her Mom said still hugging Laura 鈥淥ne question at a time. Your Dad and Nate are looking for you. I was waiting just in case you came back, which was a good thing because, here you are. Where were you by the way?鈥?br> Now it was Laura鈥檚 turn to bite her lip.

鈥淚鈥檒l talk to you about that later. You keep going.鈥?br> Her mom nodded, 鈥淥k, I told your dad how upset you were so I got the bed moved to your room. But I can get your old room back if you want. I鈥檓 sure Nate wont mind.鈥?br> 鈥淒on鈥檛 worry about it,鈥?she said smiling to herself, 鈥淚 think that room will do just fine.鈥?br>I need opinions on my story. The title is "One Unicorn hair."?

This is a beautiful story. I loved it from beginning to end. I write poetry and stories myself. I think that other than mispellings, it's awesome as is, a perfect short story.
